Individualized and small-group instruction and support for children and adults who struggle with reading. Instruction is tailored to fit the needs of the individual learner using research-supported programs and strategies.
Services
Phonics Instruction: intensive, research-based assessment and instruction in letter-sound relationships and spelling patterns to build a strong foundation in decoding and reading fluency
Whole Language Instruction: integration of all areas of reading in one program - phonics, word recognition, reading fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension
Academic Tutoring: strategies to promote independence in completing reading and writing assignments in English/ELA, Social Studies, and Science
IEP Consultation: work with IEP teams to develop placement, accommodation, and instructional plans that best meet the needs of the individual student
